A solar panel is made up of Photovoltaic (PV) cells that receive solar radiation and convert it into direct current for use as electric energy in the home or business. Solar pool heating systems use a thermal collector that converts heat from the sun to usable energy to heat the water of the pool directly or via a “working fluid”.
No. Maxeon® solar cell technology from SunPower makes more energy than conventional solar panels. The surface of SunPower panels trap more sunlight, which is strengthened by a solid copper foundation and converted into power using ultra pure silicon. These panels produce 70% more energy over the first 25 years and have a useful life of more than 40 years, making them the most efficient solar panels. SunPower’s 25-year warranty includes repair or replace of faulty panels and goes far beyond the usual solar warranty of 10 years.
Start by calling our office! We can work with your realtor to provide them with a valuation of your system, resulting in a higher sales price for your home. If you leased your equipment, it is possible to transfer a solar lease to a new homeowner. Capital City Solar can help you identify your options to make the process go smoothly.
We answer calls 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Give us a call anytime!
Yes! In 2002, we started our company as Solarecity Electric. However, after SolarCity entered the market, a lot of confusion arose in the community and with our suppliers due to the names’ similarity. We felt the need to differentiate ourselves and chose to have our name be better aligned with the area we serve. So in 2013, we changed our name to Capital City Solar. Don’t worry- we’re the same great people and ownership!
